Hi, I just found a link to your site from another artist site. I've been perusing many of your photos--I like the look of your site (clean, simple, nice fonts), great photos, and appreciate your weaving in of great quotes and history of the bay area. I too love learning the history of the area, and it adds so much context to daily life here (also, the story behind Coit tower is interesting, the little girl always chasing fire engines until they made her a mascot, and as a wealthy older woman she had Coit tower created--symbol of a fire hose. I agree the WPA murals there are fascinating, and often overlooked). I've heard Battery street has an interesting history, maybe I'll find out on your site! And much of SF (like TransAmerica Bldg area) is built upon wrecked ships (old harbor area), many abandoned during Gold Rush (who would want to head back 'East'?) Good luck and thanks.
